I hope you are enjoying a relaxing and rejuvenating summer! Even though we have some time before the new school year begins, I wanted to get you important Vocal Music dates as early as possible so you could start marking your calendars. I know how busy everyone is, and so having these dates sooner than later allows maximum planning time. Obviously, the dates are subject to changes and additions, but this is a pretty good indicator of what we have in front of us looking ahead to the school year. In the meantime, soak up the time we have left! See you next month!

Oct. 10, 2023 – Fall Concert, 7 pm (all choirs)
Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 2023 – Vocal Ensemble gigs
Dec. 13, 2023 – Winter Concert, 7 pm (all choirs)
Feb. 20, 2024 – Concert, 7 pm (all choirs)
March 8-9, 2024 – OMEA District Large Group Contest (Symphonic Choir, Concert Chorale)
March 14-17, 2024 – Musical: Mean Girls
April 10-14, 2024 – NYC Trip (Symphonic Choir)
April 19-20, 2024 – OMEA State Large Group Contest (if groups get a “I” at District)
May 10-11, 2024 – Spring Follies (all choirs)
The calendar is subject to some changes and additions, but these are the biggest dates that involve the most groups. Others may be announced later.
Congratulations to Upper Arlington Vocal Music Director Brandon Moss on receiving the 2023 Columbus Symphony Music Educator Award at the secondary level! This award honors individuals who are making a difference in their communities through their dedication to music education.
